Dorothy (Reinecke) Turk, 94 years young, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on
Saturday, April 16 th , 2022 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Dorothy was born to the late Arno and Emma (Koebel) Reinecke on June 2, 1927. She attended the
Betsy Ross Grade School in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944. She attended
2 years of teacher’s college at Nomel Teachers College in Sheboygan Falls. On September 8 th , 1951 she
married Clarence John Stentz and together they owned and operated the Stentz’s Grocery Store out of
their home on old Highway 23 in Plymouth. Clarence preceded her in death in July of 1974. She taught
school for several years and then worked at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in the food service area until
her time of retirement in 1985. On June 8, 1985 she married Robert J. Turk and they lived in Three
Lakes, Wisconsin. Robert preceded her in death on January 19 th , 2004. Dorothy relocated back to
Plymouth in 2006.
Dorothy was a dedicated member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She belonged to the ladies aid,
attended bible study and enjoyed playing cards every month with VERY dear friends. Spending time
with family and friends brought her so much joy.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Gary) Anderson; her grandchildren, Nathan Shallue, Eric
(Kelsey) Anderson, Devin (Kayla) Anderson, Logan (Charlotte) Anderson, Rachel Anderson and her fiancé
Lucas Pritzl; her beloved great grandchildren, Brayden, Carter and Sebastian Anderson, who ALL were
her pride and joy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she all loved. In addition to
her parents, grandparents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Shallue, her
step-daughters, Shirley (Hugo) Imig, Phyllis (Howard) Landwehr, Elizabeth Kaminski, Kathlyn (Kenneth)
Clark and stepson, Clarence (Vernetta) Stentz, her sisters, Arlene (Lawrence) Kapellen, Clarice (Elroy)
Matzdorf and Betty (Merlin) Jung.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 3 pm until 5 pm with a service to
follow at 5 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 222 N. Stafford Street, Plymouth with Pastor John Schultz
officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
A memorial fund has been established in Dorothy’s name for St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Dorothy will be remembered as the most loving, caring and giving mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, aunt and friend. Family and friends meant EVERYTHING to her. She will be greatly missed
by all who had the honor and privilege to know her.
Her favorite saying was “Love You to the Moon & Back”. Mom, I Love You to Heaven & Back and miss
you so very much already but you will ALWAYS be my Guardian Angel.
