For any former kid who wanted to be a fireman – or woman – when they grow up, the Sheboygan Fire Department may be the place to look for a career.
The SFD says it’s in need of persons to fill Firefighter/Paramedic positions. The hiring process is a bit more rigorous than many, involving a “FireTEAM Test”, going through the Assessment Center and being interviewed by the Police and Fire Commission. Candidates must be at least 18 with a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, a High School Diploma or Equivalent, and be qualified as a Firefighter I & II, licensed as a Paramedic and possess a valid CPAT certification.
