
Henry “Hank” Thoreau Baker, 80, of Plymouth, passed away on Thursday morning, April 14, 2022.
Born February 24, 1942 in Des Moines, IA, Hank attended schools in the Des Moines, IA area and graduated from Drake University.
On May 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Ann B. Lawson in Marshalltown, IA.
He loved the railroad and working over 20 years for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and was a lifelong train enthusiast. He was always doing things for others and volunteered as a firefighter. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching car races.
He is survived by his daughters, Marie Baker Flores, and Donna (Jim) Kearney; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Baker; daughter Jerrilynn Lawson; his brother, Terrence Baker; and grandson Dwayne Kearney.
A private family services is being planned for a later date.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Henry’s arrangements.
