BALTIMORE, MD (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Orioles 4-2 in Baltimore on Wednesday, winning the three-game series in the process.
The Brewers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Baltimore tied it with 2 in the 8th.
Kolten Wong drove in the go-ahead run with a triple. Rowdy Tellez had two RBIs and Mike Brosseau knocked in a run as well.
Corbin Burnes struck out eight over seven scoreless innings. Brad Boxberger picked up the win while Josh Hader added the save for Milwaukee, which is 3-3.
Ryan Mountcastle and Trey Mancini drove in runs for the Orioles. Jorge Lopez took the loss for Baltimore, which dropped to 1-5.
The Brewers will play their home opener Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Pregame coverage on WHBL starts at 3:40.
