What’s being called a “significant firearm and drug arrest” in Fond du Lac County has landed three persons in jail awaiting charges for drug and gun-related seizures on Sunday.
Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt said a traffic stop was made just after 4 p.m Sunday and the deputy reported the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The three occupants admitted having smoked earlier in the day. Upon a search of the vehicle deputies located five handguns, one of which was loaded, along with more ammunition, over 50 grams of marijuana and THC related products, drug paraphernalia and several hundred dollars in cash.
The three remain in jail and more details are expected following initial court appearances.
