As severe weather season is now upon us, the National Weather Service relies on eyes-on-the-sky from the public for critical information when thunderstorms and tornadoes threaten. Storm spotter training will be held tonight in Plymouth for those interested in being a part of that effort.
The session tonight will be held at the Sheboygan County Transportation Complex on Highway “J” and 67 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. During the free course, sponsored by the Sheboygan County Emergency Management Agency, National Weather Service presenters will teach the essentials of recognizing signs of severe weather and how to report it, and then cover safety aspects for spotters and the general public. And if you can’t attend, the National Weather Service will make the program available for viewing in May. No pre-registration is needed.
