Two referenda on yesterday’s ballots in Sheboygan County were favorably received by voters at the polls.
Cedar Grove-Belgium School District voters approved a bond issue of $21.5 million for improvements at the elementary/middle and the high school buildings and grounds. Spending will upgrade high school tech ed, family and consumer science and STEM classrooms and labs, and create elementary music and special education classrooms among other things.
And in Howards Grove, a proposal to borrow about a half million dollars to purchase new playground equipment and refurbish the Village’s parks was approved 355-302. That’s estimated to increase tax bills by 44 cents per $1,000 valuation.
