Only minor changes in data were noted in Monday’s weekly update on the coronavirus pandemic from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health.
There was no change in the active count of 67 cases, given the balance of 14 new confirmed cases against 14 recoveries. 29,361 cases total have been recorded in Sheboygan County. Although daily revisions to previous data show slight revisions in day-to-day figures, the 7-day average of daily new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday remains 4, unchanged from Friday’s report.
Only 2 persons are currently hospitalized for COVID-19, a reduction of one patient since Friday, although that comes with a gain of 1 in the running total patient count of 1,210.
62.9% of county residents have received at least one shot of vaccine, 3 more than on Friday, while another 11 received their second dose. 41 more received boosters. Those bring figures to 62.9%, or 72,465 with one dose; 60.3%, or 69,450 with two doses, and 32.8%, or 37,827 with boosters. A total of 317 doses were administered in Sheboygan County during the past week.
Facility-wide investigations in Sheboygan County are down to a single education setting being monitored, that being the James Madison Elementary School in Sheboygan. There are no nursing homes on the list, which had four noted last Monday.
