It was just over two months ago that confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County last posted a day-to-day increase. In that instance, from January 26 to 27, 59 new cases were added, sending the pandemic to its all-time peak of 5,214 active cases. Since then, that figure has been on the decline – until now.
On Tuesday, the six new confirmed cases outnumbered the five recoveries, bumping the active case county by one, to 76 now being monitored by the County Division of Public Health. The 7-day average of daily new COVID-19 cases is unchanged from yesterday at 3.
There was no change in the hospital figures since Monday.
62.8% of county residents – or 72,428 – have received at least one shot of vaccine, 10 more than on Monday. Another 13 received their second dose, putting that total to 69,380, or 60.2%. 22 more got their boosters. That puts that total at 37,694, or 32.7%.
