Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County will soon be seeing clients in a new setting as the campus at South Taylor Drive and Union Avenue nears completion.
The process of moving into the new $330 million facility has begun, preparing to open the Medical Office Building next month. Inside, over 36 specialty providers will offer orthopedics and sports health, women’s health, cardiology, pulmonology, general surgery and neonatal intensive care. And in July the 345,000-square-foot hospital will open with 118 beds, 13 operating rooms and 5 procedure rooms including a Level 4 Trauma Center and emergency unit, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, and a dedicated unit for inpatient adult and adolescent behavioral health services.
Jessica Bauer, the Central Wisconsin Patient Service Area President for Advocate Aurora Health said that a phased approach is being used to make the move for many services now provided at other Aurora locations around Sheboygan. Aurora will be expanding the existing clinic on Kohler Memorial Drive to provide family and internal medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology and urgent care.
