Janet M. Wolfert, age 83, of Plymouth, Wisconsin and Bonita Springs, Florida, went to her heavenly
home to be reunited with her beloved husband John. Janet passed away peacefully in Fort Myers, Florida
after complications from surgery.
Janet was born June 22, 1938, in Sheboygan to the late Elmer and Ella (Schmidt) Hermann. She
graduated from Central High School in June of 1956.
Janet was united in marriage to John Wolfert on September 29, 1956, at Fountain Park United Brethren
Church. They were happily married for 53 years and proudly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in
2006.
Janet, along with her husband John, operated Wolfert Decorating. She also worked in appliance sales at
the Prange's Annex and Sears, for many years.
A lifelong member of Fountain Park United Methodist Church, Janet served on many committees, taught
Sunday school with her mother Ella, and enjoyed participating in many events with the ‘Sunshine Girls’.
She adventured on many trips, traveling throughout the United States, including Mexico or anywhere
warm. She was especially fond of the monthly laughs with the ‘Out to Lunch’ club with several dear
friends. She was well blessed with her time spent at her condo in Bonita Springs, Florida, where she made
many lasting friendships.
Janet was always the life of the party. She hooted and hollered when watching Wisconsin sports teams,
especially the Packers. She attended and hosted many Packer parties. Janet didn’t let us forget about her
attendance at the infamous Ice Bowl game! She loved going out to eat with family and friends. She
looked forward to going up north and enjoying treasured time with her family. She cherished time spent
with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses; Jeffrey and Linda Wolfert, Jill and David
Olderman, James and Casandra Wolfert; eight grandchildren, Scott (partner Sam) Wolfert, Melissa
(Jacob) Obbink, Kristin (Mark) Wishman, Amy (Tom) Conn, Jena (Justin) Goosen, Tylor (Jessica)
Wolfert, Ryan (Kimberly) Wolfert, and Megan (Jacob) Plamann; Great-grandchildren, Hayden, Landon,
Nicholas, Johnathan, Addison, Hunter, Arrianna, Deklyn, and Jameson; other family members and many
friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband John; parents Elmer and Ella; and Great-grandson Drake
Wolfert.
