Gary Resimius, age 85, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday (March 3, 2022) at Aurora
St. Luke’s Medical Center due to health issues.
He was born on December 20, 1936 in a farm house near Velva, North Dakota, a son of the late Marion
“Bud” and Stella (Borreson) Resimius.
Gary graduated from Plymouth High School in 1955. On May 4, 1957, he married Donna Schmidt at St.
John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
He worked as a chef for Millers Guest House, owned his own milk truck and hauled milk for S&R Cheese
Corp., and worked as a transmission mechanic for various garages.
Gary loved snowmobiling with friends, cutting firewood, and deer hunting in Price County with his gang.
He was 80 years old when he shot his last 8 pointer. He also loved watching Sprint Cars and years ago
watching his son-in-law, Randy Sippel, in Sprint Cars.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Survivors in his wife, Donna of Plymouth; Robin Morrison of Plymouth, Randy (Mary) Resimius of ID and
Lynne (Randy) Sippel of Elkhart Lake; six grandchildren, Nick (Andrea) Morrison of Plymouth, Sarah
(Mike) Barnatz of ID, Evan Resimius of ID, Shannon (Brian) Sippel of Elkhart Lake, Casey Sippel of Elkhart
Lake and Miranda Sippel of Appleton; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane (Jim) Smith of
Oconomowoc and Gwen Marsa of CA; and sister-in-law, Delores Raeder of Sheboygan.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Tim Morrison; grandson, Tyler Morrison; mother
and father-in-law, Bernard and Esther Schmidt; and brother-in-law, George Raeder.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (March 8, 2022) at 1:00 PM at St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be at
the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday (March 8 th ) at the CHURCH from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gary’s name.
