
Orva Chloe Tetschlag, 92, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on
Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born April 18, 1929, in Cornell to the late Henry J. and Adeline I. (Heschke) Hessler.
She graduated from Cornell High School with the Class of 1947.
On February 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Dennis G. Tetschlag at
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cornell. They were married for 58 years until his death on
December 17, 2013. Together they raised four children, Brenda (partner Freddie Frentzel)
Stolzenburg of Madison, David (Janet) Tetschlag of Sheboygan, Janet (Eugene) Renzelmann of
Sheboygan, and Scott (Kristin) Tetschlag of Plymouth.
Orva had a strong faith; she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
She was a member of the choir, Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered for many years in the church
office. She enjoyed card playing with the Mapledale Ladies and working crossword puzzles.
Her family was her pride and joy. She loved the time she was able to spend traveling with
Dennis and creating lasting memories with children and grandchildren.
Orva is further survived by her eleven grandchildren: Marie Stolzenburg, Carolyn (Theodore)
Anderson, Kendra (Michael) Benson, Kyle (Gentry) Tetschlag, Kayla (Richard) Karius, Karlie
(Cody) Harms, Laura (Matthew) Robinette, Joseph Renzelmann, Erik Tetschlag, Juliann
Tetschlag, and Kory Tetschlag, nine great-grandchildren; Hawken Anderson, Fox Balsiger, Finley,
Elodie, Kade, and Remi Tetschlag, Treyton Karius, Thomas and Easton Harms, and sister-in-law
Audrey Nikisch. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, a brother-in-law, three
nephews, and a great-grandson Macklin Karius.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran
Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave., Sheboygan, with Rev. Timothy Mech and Rev. John Berg
officiating. Entombment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Orva’s name.
