RACINE, WI (WHBL) – There are some questions to answer about a weekend shooting in Racine that sent five people to the hospital and one person to the morgue.
Police say it happened about 2 a.m. Sunday morning at the 509 Social Lounge in downtown Racine.
Police report officers then encountered an armed man, who took off running. This resulted in a brief foot chase. Police say they attempted to negotiate with the suspect, but the man ultimately took his own life.
Racine Police say none of their officers fired a shot.
Investigators believe the whole thing started as a domestic violence case.
