Lois Buehler, 87, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
Lois was born on September 28, 1934, to David and Hildegarde (Kramer) Yurk in Sheboygan. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1952. Lois was united in marriage to Harold Buehler on September 22, 1956, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She stayed home to raise her children before being employed at the Sheboygan Clinic for over 20 years, where she made many lasting friendships.
Lois was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she taught Bible Class and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the YMCA. Lois had a kind heart and a strong faith in her Lord and Savior. Lois enjoyed golfing, biking, swimming, sewing, and reading. She was a talented cook and baker and loved having her family together for meals. Lois enjoyed being up north, spending time at the family cottage in Pembine.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Ann (Paul) Graumann of Sheboygan Falls; sons, Michael (Brenda) Buehler of Sheboygan and Thomas (Sherry) Buehler of Oostburg; 7 grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Buehler, Hope (Kerry) Doyle, Brooke (significant other Corey Blizzard) Buehler, Stephanie (Sergio) Ochoa, Marcus (Jessica) Buehler, Elizabeth (Michael) Marusich, and Katherine (Matt) Olig; 10 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Jean Huyler; sister-in-law, Fredda Yurk; brother-in-law, Howard (Bernice) Buehler; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Mark Buehler; parents, David and Hildegarde Yurk; parents-in-law, Elmer and Johanna Buehler; brother, William Yurk; brothers-in-law, Jack Huyler, Derwin (Ruth) Buehler, Gordon (Betty) Buehler.
A celebration of Lois’ life will be held at First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 1:00pm. A private family burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 11:00 am until the time of service.
