(Editors note: this story was updated to reflect that phone service was restored)
The Sheboygan Police Department headquarters is in the second day of service interruptions. Earlier on Thursday morning, the SPD advised that its phone lines were down, but an update was received that by 8:45 a.m., those lines had been restored.
There’s no direct word that connects the phone outage to a water main break at the Sheboygan Police Department headquarters on Wednesday morning, but that incident forced closure of the lobby and interrupted services including the cancellation of yesterday’s planned fingerprinting event, and will also keep the lobby dropbox unavailable for Thursday. It’s expected that things will return to normal on Friday, but the SPD advises that the schedule is subject to change.
Other business that was to be conducted at the North 23rd Street office will have to be rescheduled.
