Gerald “Jerry” Wimmler, age 81, of Plymouth, passed away on January 11, 2022 at Aurora Sheboygan
Memorial Medical Center.
He was born on August 23, 1940 in Plymouth, son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Schaap) Wimmler
Jerry attended Cascade Grade School and Plymouth High School.
On June 28, 1958, he married Jeanette Pasket at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
On May 20, 1978, he married Barbara Post at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple resided
in Plymouth since their marriage. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2017.
He was employed by Borden’s Foods (DFA) and retired in 2004 after 40 years.
Jerry was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and enjoyed being a greeter and usher for
many years on Sundays.
He enjoyed gardening, taking care of lawns, snow blowing, watching the Packers and Badgers, listening
to music, dancing, and watching old westerns. Jerry always had a loved for the “Three J’s” – John
Wayne, Johnny Cash, and John Deere.
He is survived by: His children: Colleen (Randy) Ferguson of Plymouth, Wayne Wimmler of Wyoming,
Warren (Kathy) Wimmler of Colorado, and Kirby Post of Random Lake; Fiancée: Jean Kornetzke of
Plymouth; Brother: Carl (Charlene) Wimmler of Plymouth; and Sister: Joann Kimbrell of Florida.
He is further survived by: His grandchildren: Randy Post, Max Post, Steven (Nicole) Wimmler, Brieanna
(Joshua) Wiggins, Ryan (Amy) Wimmler, Brandon (Mandy) Wimmler, Megan and Zach Witt; 12 Great-
Grandchildren; and Sisters-in-law: Donna Richardson, Paulette (Mark) Opitz, and Barbara Hausler; and
Brothers-in-law: Ronald Hauser, Ralph (Karen) Hauser, and Henry Kattre.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara, parents, brother-in-law: Jerry Hausler, and sister-in-law:
Rogean Kattre.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday (January 18, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00PM, with a prayer service to follow at 4:00PM. Rev. John Schultz,
Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, will officiate. The service will be live streamed and will
be available to watch on the Suchon Funeral Home Facebook Page
