Sheboygan’s Bed Bath & Beyond store will be closed by the end of February.
The decision to close the Sheboygan location was part of a 200-store closure plan announced some two years ago as part of a multi-year transition away from brick-and-mortar stores toward e-commerce.
Senior Corporate Communications Leader Eric Mangan said that the decision to close the Sheboygan and 36 other locations around the country in this current round was a difficult one. But he encouraged customers to continue using the company’s website and mobile app for purchases. The nearest remaining location will now be in Mequon.
Bed Bath & Beyond was one of two anchor stores remaining after Meijer took over the Memorial Mall property, replacing much of the shopping mall with its own new store on that site. Kohl’s and four other smaller stores remain.
