Manitowoc Police have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery of Boost Mobile in that city on December 30th.
The suspect had demanded iPhones and currency while displaying a firearm and threatened violence during the heist. Manitowoc Police reviewed security cam videos from Boost Mobile as well as other area businesses and were able to identify the robber’s car leaving the area.
On Monday, officers took a 32-year-old Manitowoc resident into custody at an area business, and along with the Manitowoc County Sheriff and SWAT team conducted a search at his South 15th Street home. Items from the Boost Mobile armed robbery were located along with multiple firearms, a large quantity of base cocaine packaged for sale and a large amount of US paper currency.
According to Manitowoc Police Captain Peter McGinty, the 32-year-old suspect was found to be a prior felon from Illinois and is now jailed awaiting a bail hearing on multiple charges.
