William Charles Guenther, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Monday afternoon, December 27, 2021, at Countryside Manor.
Bill was born March 28, 1944, in Sheboygan, the son of Francis and Etta (nee Freyberg Guenther. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1962 and went on to study at Sheboygan Vocational School for a year. He worked at Hayssen Manufacturing for 23 years, and later Kohler Company for 23 years, retiring in 2009.
On May 4, 1968, Bill was united in marriage with Barbara Baumann in Batavia.
Bill was a member of Lionel Collectors Club of America, and enjoyed model car kits, trains and woodworking. Bill and his family traveled to many historic Civil War sites over the years.
Bill is survived by his wife Barbara and their children: Charles William Guenther of Sheboygan, Sarah (Sam) Elizondo of Fresno, CA and Laura Guenther of Sheboygan Falls. He is further survived by his step-grandaughter Ariana Elizondo, sisters: Marilyn Kasten of Wausau, Carol (Richard) Wilson of Eldorado Hills, CA and Joyce (Richard) TenHaken of Yuba City, CA; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Verland Kasten.
Family and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 10:00 to 12:00 pm. Masks and social distancing are appreciated. Bill will be laid to rest at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
