MADISON, WI (WHBL) – The Wisconsin Badgers went on a 16-0 run in the second half to beat Nicholls State, 71-68 in Madison on Wednesday night.
Brad Davison led the Badgers with 19 before fouling out. Tyler Wahl had 12.
The Badgers played without their leading scorer, Johnny Davis, who is averaging 20-points-per game. The school didn’t say why Davis was playing, although it was not COVID related.
The Badgers trailed by 12 in the second half before going on their run with 18-minutes to play. Nicholls State still had a chance to tie the game with 3-seconds left, but Ty Gordon missed a 3-pointer from the baseline.
Wisconsin improves to 9-2 for the season.
