Mary Strmec, age 67, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Monday morning on December
6, 2021, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, WI.
Mary was born on May 2, 1954, in Sheboygan, WI, to Ludwig and Mary (Razel) Strmec. Her
mother passed away when Mary was 13 years old Ludwig remarried Louise. Mary attended Ss.
Cyril and Methodius Catholic School early in her life. As a young adult, Mary started at RCS in
Sheboygan where she attended until she retired on June 30, 2016.
Mary enjoyed music and loved to dance and go to parties. She especially liked listening to Elvis
and Shirley Temple. Mary had a colorful personality and was full of spunk – she knew what she
wanted. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was eating some good food. She loved pizza,
pasta, anything grilled, and M&M’s. If she was mad, you could always put a smile on her face
with a delicious snack.
When Mary was able to, Mary enjoyed creating art with colors and stickers. She loved kids and
was always impressed with a tall man. Mary was a bit of a gamer, and loved bowling on her
iPad. She was full of many “Mary-isms” that her family and friends will forever use and hold
dear in their hearts.
Mary was able to party it up in honor of 15 years with her caregiving family in August of 2021.
They celebrated years of friendship and love with cake, good food, music, and a comedic
magician!
Mary is survived by her caregiving family, Laura and Jerry Herison and their children, Heather
and Sarah; and Ann (Brad) Holfeltz and her children, Quinn and Lily.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mary on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 5:30 PM, at
Zimmer-Westview Funeral Home in Howards Grove, WI. A public visitation will be held from
4:00 PM until the time of the service.
