In 1982, Rusty graduated from Howards Grove High School. During high school he worked at
Randy’s Autobody in Franklin and a local mink ranch. After high school he bartended at Starlight

equipment operator for the remaining 19 years.
On April 13, 1991, he married his wife Lori (Paasch) Imig at Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Over the 30 years the couple lived in Ada, Howards Grove and lastly residing in the town of

Rusty was a volunteer fire fighter with the Franklin Fire Department for 37 years; serving as the

local area picnics. For many years he played softball on The Copper Mug softball team and in the
Howards Grove over 30 league. Bowling was also a passion: mini bowling at The Copper Mug and
at area fundraisers and bowling leagues at Starlight Lanes, Klemme’s Lanes, JB’s Entertainment
Center and Anchor Lanes. He loved Wisconsin sports and could often be found watching the game
with a beer in hand at many of his favorite local establishments with all of his friends. He also
found joy in shooting darts, snowmobiling, and going out to eat at different supper clubs with
friends, but mostly Rusty enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a fun-loving
and devoted grandpa to Ava and Jackson and could often be heard making up silly names to call
them. Lastly, Rusty loved throwing a ball for his faithful dog, Riley.
