The City of Sheboygan has announced that Ross Dress for Less will become the second tenant in the former Shopko redevelopment project.
Ross Dress for Less is a bargain store for clothing, shoes, home decor and more. Hobby Lobby announced in October that it was moving into the southern portion of the building; Ross will take up about 25,200 Sq Ft in the north part, leaving nearly 12,000 square feet still available for development.
Approval of land use agreements are still being finalized prior to interior remodeling slated for this winter. Tentative agreements have the City of Sheboygan providing a $325,000 city incentive and a $375,000 business development loan agreement to bridge gaps in projected operating costs for the two national retailers. The developer, Corta Sheboygan, LLC, plans to invest at least $4.6 million in the Shopko project and another $1.2 million for development of an out lot south of Applebee’s.
