GLENDALE, AZ (WHBL) – Rasul Douglas intercepted Kyler Murray in the end zone with 15 seconds left in the game to ice a Green Bay 24-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.
Douglas had been claimed off Arizona’s practice squad earlier this season.
The Packers were missing a number of players including Davante Adams and Allen Lazard. The Packers were still able to throw the ball with eight different players catching passes. Aaron Jones caught seven passes for 51 yards. Randall Cobb caught two short touchdown passes in the win. Aaron Rodgers was 22-37 for 184 yards
AJ Dillon had 78 yards on 16 carries and Aaron Jones picked up 59 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown.
Green Bay did suffer some more injuries. Kylin Hill left the game after taking a helmet to the knee on a kickoff return. Robert Tonyan left the game with a knee injury and LB Kingsley Keke is in concussion protocol.
The Packers, now 7-1, are tied with Arizona for the best record in the NFC.
Green Bay is now off until November 7th when they travel to Kansas City.
