Charlene J. Borth, 76, of Plymouth, passed away Monday evening, October 11, 2021 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center surrounded by her family following a courageous 30 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born September 24, 1945 in Sheboygan, Charlene was a daughter of the late Andrew and Edna Krepsky Lau. She attended Sheboygan area schools. On August 29, 1964, she was united in marriage to Louis G. Borth at Zion Reformed Church.
Charlene was a LPN at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for 20 years. She previously worked at Meadowview Manor Nursing Home. She retired after 30 years of nursing. She was a member of Zion Church and the Salvation Army. She also belonged to The National Coca Cola Collectors Club, the Badger Chapter of the Coca Cola Club and the WI Parkinson’s Association. She enjoyed drawing and art.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindi Reichgeld and Kelly (Nathan) Lombardo, both of Sheboygan and Kristin Barts, Menasha; her grandchildren, Matthew (Kallie) Lombardo, Laura Lombardo, Brandon Lombardo, Benjamin Lombardo, Emily (Adam) Fessler, Sarah Schurer and Spencer (Larissa Kendall) Wanner; 3 great grandchildren, Lily Frees, Stella Schurer and James Schurer; her nephew, Patrick (Pia) Sweeney; her brother-in-law, Niles Borth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and husband, Louis, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Greg Reichgeld; her sister, Elaine (Ed) Sweeney, hre brother, Ronald Lau., in-laws, Arleen (Harold) Heck, Ruthann (Jim) Johnson, Elmer (Marjorie) Schultz, Dorothy (Al) Collins, Gene Borth, Charles (Joyce) Borth, Darlyn (Kay) Borth.
A memorial services for Charlene will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Runkel Cemetery in Junction City at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Rocky Knoll and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
