GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) – The Green Bay Packers earned a third straight win after taking down the Steelers 27-17 in Green Bay on Sunday.
Aaron Rodgers got the Packers on the board with a 4-yard touchdown run to cap off a 13-play, 64-yard drive that tied the game at 7. Green Bay went ahead a few minutes later with a 23-yard strike from Rodgers to Randall Cobb, making the score 14-7,
Mason Crosby then closed out the half with a 26-yard field goal that sent Green Bay to the locker room with a 17-10 lead. That swelled to 27-10 after the 3rd thanks to another Crosby chip-shot FG and another Rodgers-to-Cobb touchdown connection.
Rodgers finished the game 20-36 for 248 yards and two passing TDs to go with the one rushing score. Cobb caught 5 passes for 69 yards and two scores. Davante Adams had 6 receptions for 64 yards, Aaron Jones had three receptions for 51 yards.
A.J. Dillon led the rushing attack with 15 carries for 81 yards.
Eric Stokes led the defense with 8 solo tackles, two pass breakups, and one interception- the first of his career.
History was made early in the game as Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger recorded his 400th career TD pass with a 45-yard completion to Diontae Johnson that opened the scoring.
The 3-1 Packers will travel to the 3-1 Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday.
