GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) – The Green Bay Packers trailed 17-14 at halftime, but dominated the second half as they picked up their first win of the season Monday night against the Detroit Lions by the final score of 35-17.
Aaron Jones rushed for a touchdown and caught three touchdown passes. He finished with 67 yards on the ground and caught six passes for 48 yards.
Aaron Rodgers was 22-27 for 255 yards and four touchdowns while Davante Adams had eight catches for 121 yards. Robert Tonyan had a TD catch. Green Bay improves to 1-1.
Jared Goff threw for 246 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception for the Lions. T.J. Hockenson and Quintez Cephus caught touchdowns for Detroit, which fell to 0-2.
Next up for the Packers is a Sunday night matchup at San Francisco against the 49ers.
