MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – After losing to the Philadelphia Phillies five times this season, the Milwaukee Brewers finally broke through with a 10-0 win on Tuesday night.
The Brewers scored three times in the 3rd inning and then tacked on seven more runs over the final three innings of the game.
Eric Lauer pitched seven innings, giving up just four hits and one walk while striking out five. Hunter Strickland and Miguel Sanchez finished up.
The top of the lineup did most of the damage in this one. Avi Garcia hit his 25th home run for Milwaukee with two RBIs. Eduardo Escobar had three RBIs. Christian Yelich went 3-5 with a pair of RBIs and Kolten Wong drove in two. Lauer even got into the act with a hit, a run scored and an RBI.
