21 Sheboygan County residents are now hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19, tying the high last set on January 4th. At the peak of the pandemic, 37 hospitalizations were recorded on November 2, 2020.
The Sheboygan County Coronavirus Case Dashboard on Friday showed 14,867 cases recorded in all, indicating 39 positive test returns since Thursday. The 436 cases now active are 9 more than on Thursday.
61,846 count residents have now received at least one dose of vaccine, 158 more than reported on Thursday, and amounting to 53.6% of the population. 58,448 persons, or 50.7%, are fully vaccinated, an increase of 110 since Thursday.
Governor Evers, along with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, announced today that eligibility for the $100 COVID-19 Vaccine Reward Program will be extended to Sunday, September 19th, 2021. The program opened August 20th and is available to anyone ages 12 and up in Wisconsin who gets their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine by September 19th. Between August 20th and September 1st, more than 65,000 Wisconsinites had received their first dose of vaccine, becoming eligible for the $100 Gift Card.
