Helen L. Peichl, age 93, of rural Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at
Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Helen was born on May 20, 1928, to Albert and Hedwig (Noth) Grunewald. She graduated
with the class of 1946 in Howards Grove as the valedictorian. After high school, Helen took courses
in bookkeeping, shorthand, and typing. In 1948, Helen was united in marriage to Arthur Peichl at St.
Paul’s Church in the Town of Mosel. She worked at Sheboygan Credit Union until leaving that job
to help manage the farm and raise her children.
Helen was an avid gardener, growing many vegetables and flowers over her lifetime. She was
an animal lover, specifically her cats and the birds that she would watch. Helen was very musical
and could often be found making music – whether she was singing, playing piano and
piano accordion, or just humming while she was working around the house. She sang in the church
choir at Faith UCC and Saron UCC. She was very proud of her time singing with the Sweet
Adelines.
Helen will be dearly missed by her daughter, Julie Peichl; sons, Gary Peichl, and Randy
(Verla) Peichl; granddaughter, Rachel (Cameron) Peichl-McGee; sister-in-law, Marie Mulder; her
beloved cat, Ginger; and other relatives and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; son, John; parents; brother,
Frederick; sister-in-law; brothers-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held for Helen at 12:30 PM on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at
Zimmer-Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center. A public visitation will be held from 11:00
AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery.
