Thomas Slavens, 83, passed away on July 23, 2021, in Sheboygan, WI.
Thomas Slavens was born on July 29, 1937, in Sheboygan, WI, to Elden and Ruth Slavens.
Thomas graduated from Central High in 1955. He started his career as a foundry worker at the
Kohler Co., and retired in 2001.
Thomas married Arlene Schwartz on October 14, 1961. They were married for 58 years until
Arlene’s death in April 2020.
Thomas served in the United States Army from 1955-1957 and was stationed in Hawaii.
Thomas is survived by his sister, Patricia (the late Robert) Ratzmann; and brother, Jerry (Jackie)
Slavens; sister-in-law Kathy (the late Robert) Slavens, sister-in-law, Diane (the late Arthur, Sr)
Schwartz; nephews, Arthur Schwartz, Jr., Mark (Connie) Ratzmann, Paul (Lynn) Ratzmann, Eric
(Diosa) Ratzmann, Rob Slavens, and nieces; Tiffany Schwartz, Linda (Mark) Sierszynski, Karen
(Chris) Domagalski, and Jennifer (Brett) Leeson;; and other relatives and friends.
Thomas is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arlene; parents, Elden and Ruth; brothers,
Robert and John; brothers-in-law, Robert and Arthur Sr.; Arlene’s parents, Arthur and Elmira.
At his request, no services will be held for Thomas. The family would like to thank the dedicated
staff of Sheboygan Senior Community for their compassionate care for Thomas.
