The stretch of Union Avenue that borders the Horace Mann Middle School property on the south from Georgia Avenue to South 26th Street will be closed for reconstruction from Monday, July 26th until “sometime this fall” according to the Sheboygan Department of Public Works. The project will install new pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, street lighting and sidewalk.
The closure means traffic will be detoured using Taylor Drive, Indiana Avenue and South Business Drive.
No firm completion date was given, and it was noted that all work and traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change.
