Jeff Ferguson

Jeff “Fergie” “Potsi” Ferguson, age 61, of Plymouth, passed away at home on July 15, 2021.
He was born on January 21, 1960, a son of the late Charles and Vernetta (Zillman) Ferguson. Jeff
attended Plymouth area schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1978.
Fergie worked at A&P Cheese, Great Lakes Cheese, and was currently working at CertainTeed Ceiling in
Plymouth. He also was a bartender at Cozy Bar in Plymouth for many years.
Jeff was an avid sports fan and loved to gamble and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was married to Karen Gahagan and together they had a daughter, Hollie, and Jeff’s step-children:
Beth and Patrick Gahagan.
Jeff is survived by: Brothers: Randy (Colleen) and Ray Ferguson; Sisters: Rosie Ferguson and Cheryl
Lensmire; Step-son: Patrick Gahagan; Nephew: Jason R. Lensmire; Nieces: Tracy Ferguson, Jamie (Derik)
Liebenstein, and Jenna (Jesse) Rumpff; as well as great-niece and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other
relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: His parents; Daughter: Hollie; Step-daughter: Beth; Sister: Susie (Chuck)
Lawrence; Brother-in-law: David Lensmire; and Nephew: Jered Lensmire.
Following Fergie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a time of visitation to celebrate his life will be
held on Thursday (July 22, 2021) from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jeff’s name.
