SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Two notable “none” entries are contained in the latest information from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health and the State Department of Health Services: no new cases in Sheboygan County, and no deaths reported statewide in the last 24-hours.
12,543 persons in Wisconsin have tested positive for the coronavirus so far, up 356 from Saturday. That’s 6.1% of all tests returning positive, a figure that’s lower than Saturday’s, but not enough to constitute a downward trajectory in the past 14-days. That metric, along with downward 14-day trajectory of influenza-like illnesses and a downward 14-day trajectory of COVID-like cases have failed Wisconsin criteria laid forth in the Badger Bounce Back plan which aims to reopen Wisconsin in phases. That plan was largely rendered moot with the rejection of Governor Evers’ extension of his “Safer at Home” order, prompting many counties and municipalities – Sheboygan County included – emplaced their own guidelines and criteria for easing restrictions.
In Sheboygan County, no new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours. 71 cases in total have been reported with 6 of those currently active. Nobody is hospitalized with the disease at this point, and 62 persons have recovered. 1,804 persons in the county have been tested with negative results.
