NEW HOLSTEIN, WI (WHBL) – Tornado sirens went off in New Holstein around 11:30 Wednesday night, and emergency management says it was an equipment malfunction that caused it.
While there were storms blowing through at the time the sirens sounded, there were no tornado warnings or watches in the area at the time.
Authorities alerted residents by way of Facebook that it was a malfunction.
There’s no word, so far, on when repairs will be completed.
