Sheboygan County’s death toll due to COVID-19 was upped to 152 when the latest casualty was added on Friday to the county’s “COVID-19 Dashboard.” One year ago today, that toll was 4.
25 active cases are now being monitored by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, and with 10 more cases found since Thursday, the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Sheboygan County stands at 13,910. There are no current hospitalizations for the disease here.
Vaccination rates in Sheboygan County have declined steadily since the week of June 6th when 2,188 doses were administered. In contrast, 729 were recorded this past week, and only 15 doses were administered on Sunday. 56,666 persons, or 49.1% of the county, have received at least one dose, while 54,099 – or 46.9% – have completed the series.
