Sheboygan County, and the State of Wisconsin as a whole, have not reached President Biden’s goal of having 50% of the population immunized against the SARS-CoV-2 Virus responsible for COVID-19. The President had set a goal of 50% immunization by July 4th.
48.9% of Sheboygan County residents, amounting to 56,395 persons, had received at least one dose of vaccine as of Monday morning, July 5th, while 46.5%, or 53,606 persons, have been fully vaccinated. As a state, 50.5% of Wisconsin has received at least one dose, and 47.6% were fully vaccinated.
Vaccination rates have reached the lowest level since the week of January 10th when Sheboygan County administered 977 doses. For the week of June 27th, 911 eleven doses were given in Sheboygan County.
