PHOENIX, AZ (WHBL) – The Arizona Diamondbacks 17 game losing streak is over. They beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 on Monday night at Chase Field.
Brewer starter Brett Anderson had to leave the game in the second inning with a knee injury. Jake Cousins made his major league debut for Milwaukee and pitched two scoreless innings with five strikeouts.
The Brewers took the lead in the first inning on an Avisail Garcia single that drove in Kolten Wong. But that was all the offense that Milwaukee could muster on this night.
The Brewers are now 40-33 and will face the Diamondbacks again Tuesday night. Freddy Peralta gets the start for the Brewers.
You can hear the game on WHBL beginning with the pre game show at 8:05.
