
Rose Marie Alma Reimer, age 84, died on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the Sheboygan
Progressive Care Center in Sheboygan. She was born in Sheboygan on November 1,
1936, the daughter of the late Alfed and Eleanor Spatt Junge.
She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1955.
On August 25, 1956, she was united in marriage to Henry Reimer at St. Peter Claver
Catholic Church in Sheboygan. In her earlier years Rose was employed at Wigwam Mills
and the Bugetel Motel in Sheboygan. She then became a full-time mother and took
great pride in raising her six children.
Rose was a lifelong member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and was volunteer
cleaner at the church. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was a Girl Scout
Leader. Rose enjoyed crocheting, knitting, word searches, camping and feeding the
birds.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Reimer; five children, Mike (Judy) Reimer,
Michelle (Peter) Sjollema, Susan (Thomas) Burgin, Christine Dietrich and Kurt Reimer, all
of Sheboygan; ten grandchildren, Michael Jr. (friend Lisa) Reimer, Jessica Reimer,
Melissa Chronis, Angela (fiancée Keith) Sjollema, Christopher Burgin, Scott (Jamie)
Burgin, William (Sara) Dietrich, Brandon (fiancée Jennifer) Dietrich, Mark (Katie) Dietrich
Jr. and Edward Barden; six great-grandchildren, Ian, Nikolaos, Christos, Brielynn,
Wilhemina and Jacobina and a brother-in-law, Randy Reimer, of Colorado. She is further
survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a
daughter, Jacqueline Barden, two sons-in-law, Kim Barden and Mark Deitrich Sr., and a
sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, Fritz and Judy Hilpertshauser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at St.
Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12 th Street Sheboygan with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating.
Family and friends may gather at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until
the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery
Mausoleum.
A heart felt thank you is extended to staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Community
Hospice and Tender Hearts Care for the compassion and care that was given to her.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Rose’s name. The Reinbold-
