Note: The news release used for the original story posted below did not refer to the availability of any options other than in-person learning. In fact, LTC has informed WHBL news that “We continue to teach our courses in all different forms that match what our students are needing from us – in-person, Online, virtual, hybrid, etc.” As a result, the headline and content has been edited to reflect this, and we regret any misunderstanding. Lakeshore Technical College has announced that virtual learning is a thing of the past, and that if any student selects in-person instruction for any courses for the summer and fall semesters, it will be conducted the old-fashioned way…in person…for the duration of the semester.
LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen made that announcement on Wednesday, saying that the Incident Management Team at the college had done an impressive job keeping in-person operations safe during the pandemic, and because of that success no courses will shift to virtual learning – temporarily or permanently – once the semester begins.
LTC remains fully open to students, staff, and visitors. The summer term starts on Monday June 7th and the fall term begins August 23rd. Face coverings are no longer required and LTC will not require students to be vaccinated.
