Alexander ‘Alex’ James Koene, 27, passed away on May 20, 2021 at his home. He was born in Sheboygan on May 28, 1993. In
grade school Alex attended Lincoln-Erdmann and Trinity Lutheran School. He went to Farnsworth Middle
School, and graduated from South High School in 2011.
Alex will be known most of all as having a great sense of humor and being a great father to his daughter
Mia Koene (age 5). She gave him so much joy, and new reasons to be a better person every day. With
Mia he shared his love of swimming, bowling, and spending time outdoors. His most cherished moment
of any day, was relaxing while watching a (usually Disney) movie with her before bed.
With his abundant number of friends he was often considered the life of the party. He enjoyed taking
recent trips across the country, playing video games, and he never would turn down a pick-up basketball
game. Alex was a huge fan watching his favorite NBA players, and attended several hundred Milwaukee
Bucks games throughout his life.
To his family, he showed his Christian values as well as his caring and loving heart. Alex never wanted
family gatherings to end. Above his own happiness, he longed for his family to be happy and healthy.
Alex is survived by his parents Eric (Michelle) Koene and Heather Koene; his sisters Anastasia Koene,
Allyssa Koene, and Abigail Koene along with his stepsister Katelyn Lallemont; His grandparents Ralph
and Jennie Koene and Vivien (John) Gierach; his great grandmother Evelyn Koene; his uncles Phil
(Theresa) Koene, Adam Koene, and Joel Koene; his Aunt Hollie Batt; and of course his beloved daughter
