
Marlene Albsmeier, age 79 of Sheboygan passed away Friday afternoon May 21,
2021. Marlene was born to the late Raymond and Esther (Thiele) Eisold on
October 31, 1941 in Sheboygan. She attended Sheboygan schools and was a 1959
graduate of North High School. Marlene married Ernst Albsmeier on June 18,
1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church; he preceded her in death September 30, 2003.
Marlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed
playing the piano, crocheting, and volunteering at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.
Survivors include her children Eric (Lori) Albsmeier of Sheboygan, daughters
Linda (Scott) Poenitzsch of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sheryl (Michael) Lindstrom of
Kohler, grandchildren Greg (Courtney) Lindstorm, Rachael (Cory) Zigterman,
Rebecca (Michael) Scola, Christina (Garrett) Griswold, Tyler (Allison) Malzahn,
Ashley (Daniel) Strong, Adriana Poenitzsch (fiancé Christopher Davis), Gabriele
Poenitzsch, Jonah Albsmeier and Ethan Albsmeier great-grandchildren Olivia,
Christopher, Andrew, Gemma, Giovanni, Parker, Andrew, Landon and Adeline.
Marlene is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernst, sisters Deloris Scharrer,
Janith Thill, Faye Eisold and a brother Willard Eisold.
Family and friends may gather at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 6706
Superior Ave., Kohler on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will
continue Friday, May 28, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at
the Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Pastor Timothy Mech from Trinity
Lutheran Church will officiate.
