SAN DIEGO, CA (WHBL) – Brandon Woodruff allowed one hit and one run while striking out seven batters in six innings of work in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 3-1 win over the San Diego Padres to open a three-game series on Monday night.
Luis Urias, Billy McKinney, and Tyrone Taylor blasted solo shots for Milwaukee. Three relievers allowed one single over the last three innings with Josh Hader picking up the save.
Corbin Burnes will take the mound Tuesday night for the Brewers in the second game of the series against the Padres in San Diego. Burnes has 30 strikeouts and no walks this season. The Padres counter with Chris Paddack.
