Gen Z’s known for a few different things, one of those being eating healthier than other generations. According to FoodDrive.com, the Gen Z group is more aware of ingredients in food and looks for healthy alternatives with little to no additives. The generation pays attention to ingredients, while the rest of us don’t as much. This is one more reason that it’s important for those in the ag and food industry to be very transparent about where food is coming from and how it’s being made.
The survey by Piper Sandler shows that they’re also a very snack-based generation. The majority of Gen Z teens aren’t as big into larger sit-down dinners. They’d rather eat a fast on-the-go snack multiple times a day.
Even though the generation’s known to be a little healthier than others, they’re still very loyal to certain brands. According to the study, the top brands that Gen Zers are still very loyal to are Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Goldfish, Cheez-Its, and Oreos.
