(WHBL) – Although no major interruptions to traffic flow are expected, Highway 23 in Sheboygan County will be busy this week with workers completing new lane construction and repairing existing pavement.
The long-running project expanding the highway to four lanes between Plymouth and Fond du Lac is on track for completion at the end of June this year, with most work this week involving drainage work and installation of shoulders, curb and gutter. Traffic won’t be interrupted but probably will be slowed as flagging operations are planned.
Further east of the new highway, existing pavement on 23 will need some attention from maintenance crews. The area involved is on the eastbound lanes between County Roads “OJ” and “M”, and various lanes in that stretch will be closed between 7 AM and 4 PM daily now through Thursday this week.
