SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – A Sheboyan man was in court this week for a preliminary hearing on robbery and carjacking charges. 21 year old Donyha Bankhead was charged after police were called to a home on Maryland Avenue in May of 2019.
Police say the victim had received a call from Bankhead that he’d been locked out of their apartment, and needed to get in. Court documents say when the victim opened the door, Bankhead had a gun in his face, demanded his cash, clothes, and iPhone. The victim says Bankhead took $1,500, stole his car, and left him unconscious on the side of the road.
Bankhead is facing more than 15 years in prison if he’s found guilty
