Those accustomed to traveling between Sheboygan and points west on Highway 28 will have to become accustomed to detours for several months as construction of a roundabout intersection takes place at Highway “EE.” Preliminary work was done surrounding the project last year, but now the road itself will be torn up and reconfigured.
With the road closure today, detours are being set up and excavating equipment is moving in.
Highway 28 traffic will be routed along Highway 32, County Road “V” and I-43, while “EE” traffic will follow 32, Highway “V” and County Road “A.”
James Peterson Sons, Inc. from Medford, Wis. is the Prime Contractor for the $1.7 Million project. The DOT expects a completion day of June 23rd.
