SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – A Sheboygan man who pulled a gun on his roommate appears in Sheboygan County Court for a plea hearing. 22 year old Donyha Bankhead was arrested in May of 2019.
Court documents say police were called to a home on Maryland Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim told police Bankhead had lost the keys to their apartment, and when he opened the door, Bankhead was standing there with a gun pointed at the victim, demanding money.
When the victim said the money was in his car, Bankhead and another person hit him with the gun several times and kicked him. Bankhead reportedly took the victims car, the victim jumped on the car to try to stop him – but he fell off the vehicle and blacked out.
Bankhead is facing up to 20 years in prison and $50,000 in fines if he’s found guilty.
