Last year, Wisconsin was given $2 billion from the CARES Act, which $50 million was put towards agriculture thanks to Evers through the Farm Support Program.
This year, the plan is for more funding to be set aside for farmers. This comes after Governor Evers made the announcement while speaking to the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin earlier this week. He broke it down to say that the state’s getting about $3.2 billion from the American Recovery Act.
Evers didn’t specify how much of that money would be given to farmers impacted by the pandemic but said that there will be a portion given to the ag industry.
